The goal of the Fall Roundup is to make sure that every young boy is invited to join and participate in the Cub Scouting program. Cub Scouting has been helping parents work with their sons to learn important life skills and at the same time letting them have fun together on projects like building a pinewood derby car or building a bug house at day camp.
Below you will find the tools necessary to help you plan for a successful fall recruitment. Make sure to invite every young boy from 1st grade to 5th grade. How would you feel if you weren't invited to the best party in town?
Each district will be holding a Fall Program Kickoff in August. At this meeting information concerning the Fall Roundup will be shared and discussed.
Here is a list of the Fall Program Kickoff dates for each district:
- Thursday, August 13th – 7:00pm – Columbia River, Rattlesnake Ridge and White Bluffs at Purcell Park next to the Kennewick Scout Office.
- Thursday, August 13th – 7:00pm - Eastern Oregon at the La Grande Roundtable
- Thursday, August 20th – 7:00pm - Eastern Oregon at the Baker City Roundtable
- Thursday, August 20th – 7:00pm - Oregon Trail at the Hermiston LDS Stake Center
- Thursday, August 20th – 7:00pm - Pioneer at Milton-Freewater LDS Building

Yes, they are free. Yes, there is a catch. Your pack must have:
- Turned in the Race to Cub Scouting commitment form no later than September 1st.
- Recruited enough new Scouts to have a 10% gain in registered members by December 1st, 2009 versus the pack's registered year end membership as of December 31st, 2008.
OR
- Have a 20% increase in rechartered members for 2009 versus the number of rechartered members in the pack for 2008.
- And recharter on time (December 15, 2008).
